In an interesting article in todays NYPost titled Rockin Rabbi, we learn that ex mashgiach of Le Marais Issac Bitton was a member of a famous 70's french Rock group,Les Variations, that opened for Aerosmith, Kiss and the Rolling Stones. Like many others he ditched it all when he found his own rock idol in the Lubavitcher Rebbe. He also was attacked in the crown heights riots, sued,and won a suit against the police department for lack of protection. Check out the story and the great pics.
