Yeshiva University is banging out a program to give the real story – goods and bads – of going to Israel for the Year. If you are a Jewish high school senior (or a parent of one) you might wanna just bang out THIS event in NYC – sounds like they are really talking bout EVERYTHING there is to know about going for the year (some topics they may want to consider for next year’s program: “The art of Polish Butterfly” , “How to NOT get sick of seeing the same people on Ben Yehuda every single night” and naturally “The secret of having shabbos plans set for the year: wearing Jeff Seidel bowling shoes”)
Some of the actual highlight programs:
- Dov Rosenblatt from Blue Fringe speaking on: “Flippin Out or Time of Awakening? Chose Your Own Israel Adventure…” awesome!
- R’ Moshe Bellows on “Free at Last…Free at Last…Oh my gosh, I’m Actually Free at Last!!”
- Janis Altman on ““Can You Hear Me Now? Can You Hear Me Now? Can Your Parents Hear You Now?” cellphones and you
- R’ Marc Penner and R’ Nati Helfgot on setting reasonable expectations for what you get out of this whole learning thing
